For loud snorers, the only way to differentiate if you have a more severe condition of sleep apnoea is to do a sleep study. In the past, this is only available in the specialized sleep centres or hospital.

Sleep study has been made more convenient with the WatchPat Sleep Study System. Worn over the arm, the need for cumbersome probes has been eliminated. Patients put the measuring device on their arm and this does not interfere with sleep. Patients can sleep comfortably in their own bed while the test is being done. The next day, the device is returned back to the doctor’s office for analysis. The device has been validated with over 90% accuracy and is FDA approved
